Congratulations to Tony Brooks who defended his title of British
Masters Champion this year competing in the M50, 61 kg category
with a total of 148 Kg. This met his target of qualifying for the
the World Masters championships which he aims to participate in this year. Our years of working together has been a pleasure - Tony is one of the most hard working and successful athlete's I've worked with, and I hope he can show what he can do at the worlds.
16/6/2017 - Hi All, please note that the Saturday Session on 17th June 2017 is cancelled due to my absence as I am away coaching at a competition in Birmingham.

There is an open BWL olympic weightlifting competition & County Championships planned to run at our club on the 13th september 2014. If you are interested you will need to be a current BWL member, own a pair of Olympic Lifting Shoes and a singlet. Please send me an email for more details, or contact Steve Cannon for an entry form.
22/2/13 - Just so you all know, At some point we are hoping to go down and train one of our regular sessions at another Club (Probably Atlas) and will inform everyone on the day we decide to do it.
Kara's Competition is on the 16th March 2013, keep me updated as to if you are still interested/availible to come and there will probably be no training session on this day.

13/3/13 - Hi, Just a reminder that there is no training session this Weekend (Saturday 16th March) as I am away coaching at a competition.
16/3/13 - Well Done Kara!!! Great Result today, couldn't be more pleased =). Kara has achieved personal bests all around including Sinclair of 130 and has achieved 2nd place in her first competition!
Also as discussed, we could have a little club competition soon with the idea of working on % personal best on the total (snatch + clean and jerk). This way everyone has a chance and it is fair. If we are to do this we need to organise a date where we can all be availible (those who wish to take part)
